ABOUT ME

I'm a multimedia journalist who's reported from six countries on four continents over more than a decade.

For the past two and a half years, I've covered international and UK breaking news from London for TIME magazine and now BBC News online, where I also edit stories.

Previously, I was a beat reporter for US newspapers and the Associated Press, where I covered politics, immigration, transportation, business, health during the pandemic, and social issues including homelessness, mental health and drug addiction. I've also reported on breaking news from wildfire zones, the front lines of protests, and crime scenes.

I've freelanced for Al Jazeera, NBC News, the Intercept and others on topics ranging from the impact of Trump's travel ban on Yemeni-Americans in Djibouti to a court case against marital rape in India.
